What's in a name?

Okay, so for college, my dad offered to get me a laptop. Because my primary concern about my computer is its ability to support my film-making software, we had to get like a really really hardcore computer, and it's way too nice for me. BUT it is going to be my baby anyway, and I'll need to name it. That's where you guys come in - I'm asking for your suggestions.

These are the names that I've come up with so far, but please add more to the list!:

Darth Slater (Slater's my favorite character in Dazed and Confused, which is the kind of film I'd like to make)
Mr. Fahrenheit
The Jabberwock
Silent Cal
Wooderson
Brando
Freddie
Quick Silver

I don't know if any of those have the right ring to it. PLEASE SUGGEST MORE!

Of course...you'll need to see what it looks like to name it.

Wait a second.. You're doing professional film production and you're not using a Mac? I don't get it! Apple (literally) owns the world of digital video editing and HD, along with pretty much everything else that goes along with it.

Yeah, my dad happens to be a proud employee of Dell Computers. I told him at the beginning of the summer that I wanted a Mac, and I think at one point he was actually willing to get one for me, but I decided that when it comes down to it, if the system is good enough and if I have decent security, it will be okay. I'm comfortable with PCs anyway. But yeah, I know. Oh, and I'll consider Nellie. Thanks!

ah no: that's the schools copier. OUR copier (as in Jaffe's) is Quicksilver.

think about it this way: Flash is DC comics speedster, Quicksilver is Marvel comics...

I think Brando has a nice ring to it. Very classy.

P.S. I saw Catriona last night and she said that you and Laura might be coming down next weekend. What's this all about, now, hmmmm? Unless you don't want to see me, which I suppose I understand....but it makes me sad. :(

BETHANY! nooooo! I only just got the message from Laura that our plans were finalized and I would never go to San Antonio without attempting to see you (the forensics tournament at Churchill is an exception because i didn't really have a choice in the matter)! I would, of course, love to get together with you next weekend. I don't even know exactly when I'm going yet, but I will DEFINITELY call you!!! Don't be sad. I love you!!!

darth slater, for it holds several connections to things you love. not to mention is the name of one jock from a beloved tv show (ie saved by the bell)! i love you!!!!!

i wuld suggest james dean for two reasons, one he's the original rebel that dazed and confused wishes it culd mimic (i love that movie, dont worry, did u know that the director found matthew mcconahay(however u spell that) in a bar and was like "YOU ARE THIS CHARACTER! DO YOU WANT TO BE IN MY MOVIE?" i bet there was a little more dialogue there but u get the jist) and the other reason is he is just damn dreamy, i wish i culd be him, and he's also pretty classy, but not brando classy

james dean certainly is dreamy. and yeah, i did know about Linklater randomly finding Wooderson (easier to spell), except I think it might have been in a hotel. The part was originally pretty small, but when they saw how funny he was, they just kept adding to it! Also, though I prefer Brando to James Dean, i think that James Dean is just classy because he died so young! I mean, come on, dying young (and in a car crash!) definitely puts you up on to that next level of class! Plus, he didn't have the chance to triple in size.

i was originally leaning towards brando, but no i agree w/ adam.
